Organized groups are encouraged to utilize the Aquatic Areas for their enjoyment. However, groups bringing 10 or more children are required to obtain approval (at least 7 days in advance) from the FAC's Aquatic Supervisor regarding the date and time of your group's planned outing. It is important to accurately identify the number of children and adults that will be participating in the outing. Our staff will attempt to schedule in advance the appropriate number of lifeguards to properly manage your group's outing and the anticipated number of public participants.
A group consisting of 10 or more children must meet the following chaperone to child ratios:
1. Children 6 and under must have at least one chaperone for every 4 children.
2. Children 7 - 12 must have a least 1 chaperone for every 10 children.
3. The adult chaperones are required to be in the pool actively participating with the participants. Lounging on the deck is not allowed unless your organization provides more than the required number of adult chaperones.
4. An adult chaperone must be 18 years of age.
